Below are a few messages we have received
in regards to our training and teaching methods:
Thanks again for putting together the self defense
session last night! I know you probably feel it was too
brief and hardly touched on everything that we could possibly
learn, since you love to beat people up , but believe me
you gave us some GREAT tips that I had never thought of
nor heard before. Having worked downtown for years, I’m
a freak about how to stay “safe” and have run
many a scenario through my head of how to get away, now
I have more in my bag of tricks.
I went home last night and my husband asked me about what
I learned. When I told him some of the ways to get away,
he was shocked at how simple yet effective they were. I
plan on passing that knowledge on to all of my girlfriends,
even if through email only. I would hate for anything to
ever happen to them just because they weren’t thinking
of these simple ways to get away. Just last weekend we all
met at main street St. Charles for dinner and drinks, and
in a setting like that, nobody can plan to park next to
one another. We are good about walking each other to their
cars, but sometimes you just don’t think, and you
say, nah, I’ll be fine.
This was a good reminder to never turn down a friend walking
with you to your destination. Thanks again!

I just want to start by saying thank you for everything
that you have done for our company and each individual that
walks in the fitness center. I think everyone extremely
appreciates having the opportunity to have you as our trainer
(at least most of the time).
As for me, you bringing jujitsu into my life has changed
me quite a bit. Before I was working out pretty regularly
and I enjoyed that but I had a lot of personal obstacles
that I faced in 2007. When I first started taking jujitsu,
I wasn’t sure if I was really going to stick to it.
I had a many things I was going through at the time and
didn’t know if I could dedicate myself to the sport.
But what I realized is, it really took my mind off what
was really going on and for some strange reason put my mind
at ease. It really got me through the one of the toughest
times in my life. I have fallen for the sport completely.
I had never really had a hobby before and now I can proudly
say I have a hobby in jujitsu. Not only is it a great stress
reliever but I can now protect myself. Unlike many others,
I will never be someone’s victim. Thank you Brian
for showing me what you are so passionate about. I think
you’re going to make a fighter out of me one day.

Brian has been an instructor of mine for two years
now. He absolutely has a gift for teaching. Brian works
well with men, women and children of all ages. Not only
is he professional and personable, but he has the ability
to make all students feel comfortable. While giving easy
to understand instruction, he is patient with his students,
allowing them to learn at their own pace. Without question,
I would recommend Brian to anyone just beginning martial
arts/self defense or to someone looking to improve upon
their skills in these areas.
